Ostbahn Flughafen­schnellbahn connection

The roughly 2.1 kilometre-long connecting loop between the Ostbahn and Flughafenschnellbahn railways connects Vienna’s airport directly to its central station. The 585-metre-long chain of bridges in the central marshalling yard section consists of two bridges. With this connection between the Ostbahn and Flughafenschnellbahn railways, MCE built the first network arch bridges in the ÖBB’s rail network.
